Lift 1 on Powderhorn Road on Alpen Road, just a short drive (or

Thursday: 10 am - 12 am (midnight), Friday-Saturday:10 am
- 2 am, lunch served from 11 am - 5 pm, dinner served from 5 pm

Northwoods cabin bar and restaurant, unique entrees, lots of
choices, always a great meal. Be sure to order the bisque soup

It's five miles west of the Route 51/Route 2 intersection on the
north side of Route 2. Watch for the small, white, lit-up sign
near the highway. Closed Mondays. |

lodge/cabin with a neat history. Take Route 2 East to
Wakefield. Turn right at Club 28 bar and go 20 miles until you
come to a T in the road. Turn right at the T, which is County W
South. Go a couple more miles and The Bear is on the right. |

drive. On the snowmobile trail. In the summer, see real, live,
black bears! They feed the bears so the big, well-fed, bears
come out to eat and you can watch them from your inside table.
Food was pretty good, too, but the real draw is to see bears.
Take Route 2 East to Wakefield.
Turn
left onto
Sunday Lake St/M-28.
Go 12 miles into White Pine. Turn left and see Konteka on the
left. |

60-minute
drive south on Route 51 in Manitowish Waters. On the snowmobile
trail. We stop here for breakfast/lunch EVERY time we head home
on Route 51 South. It's one hour from Bear Hug. Take a whole
pie home and be sure to get a homemade biscuit and hash browns!
